Founded in March 1983, China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE) is a specialized executing agency of the international assistance under the Ministry of Commerce. Since its establishment, CICETE has contributed to China’s social-economic development. Being responsible for the coordination of the development activities of UNDP, UNIDO and UNV in China, CICETE has, in the past 3 decades, cooperated with UN agencies in implementing around 700 cooperation programs/projects in the field of industry, education, health, poverty alleviation, environment protection, climate change etc. Since Dec.2008, CICETE has been designated by the Ministry of Commerce as one of the implementing agencies for the China-Aid program to the other developing countries.

CICETE will continue to contribute to the economic development world-wide by working closely with governments, international organizations, NGOs and private sectors.
