A CICETE delegation visited India, Thailand and Cambodia to strengthen practical cooperation

From 23 May to 1 June 2018, a delegation, jointly supported by UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) Maritime- Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance Project and UNIDO Maritime-Continental Silk Road Project, visited India, Thailand and Cambodia.

The delegation visited UNIDO International Centre for Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (IC-ISID) (India), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), Invest India, UNIDO Regional Office in India, UNOSSC Asia-Pacific Regional Office, Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Zone, Siem Reap Provincial Administration, Siem Reap Regional Polytechnic Institute, Artisans Angkor Silk Farm, Ministry of Industry of Handicraft and other line ministries in Phnom Penh, Phnom Penh Capital Hall and UNIDO Regional Office in Cambodia.

Through the fruitful meetings and visits, the delegation has strengthened partnerships with various stakeholders. Each side agreed that joint efforts should be made in the future to follow up and strengthen potential cooperation in the fields of trade and investment promotion, SMEs collaboration, technology transfer and upgrading and inter-city cooperation to achieve win-win results and promote common development.
