Deputy Director General Zhao Visits Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation HQ in Seattle
5- 8 November 2016, Seattle — Headed by MOFOCM, the tripartite cooperation working group visited Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) Headquater in Seattle, the United States. Both sides held working meeting on project initiatives and potential cooperative areas under the framework of tripartite cooperation MOU between MOFCOM and BMGF. Mr. Liu Zhunfeng, Deputy Director of Department of Foreign Assistance of MOFCOM, Mr. Zhao Zhongyi, Deputy Director General of CICETE and other Chinese partners attended the meeting. During the meeting, both sides reviewed the progress of on-going cooperation , exchanged views on global development program on the area of agriculture, water and sanitation, maternal and child health care, vaccines, family planning, nutrition and global health programs on malaria, tropical diseases etc. and agreed to work closer to push forward agriculture and health tripartite cooperative project as scheduled.
