The UNIDO Project, Promotion of Applied Research and Development of New Bio-pesticide Formulations to Replace Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), is processing well
Under the support from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the project inception workshop of "promoting the development of new biological pesticide formulations to replace persistent organic pollutants" had been held in Nantong on 12nd Oct 2017. Representatives and experts from UNIDO, China International Economic and Technical Exchange Centre (CICETE), Regional Network on Pesticides for Asia and Pacific (RENPAP), Nantong Science and Technology Bureau and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) attended the inception workshop.
The project progress is summarized as followed: the development of three pesticide products is going smoothly; the relevant suspending agents have been approved by Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA). According to the specific conditions in Africa, all the tests will continue and are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
