CICETE supported a seminar on China-Indonesia Small Hydropower Cooperation
The South-South Development Center (SSDC) Project, which is being implemented by CICETE, supported the “Seminar on China-Indonesia Small Hydropower International Cooperation and National Capacity Building in Indonesia” on May 7-8, 2018 in Jakarta. Representatives from CICETE attended the seminar and made a speech at the opening ceremony. About 50 participants from government departments, research institutes, universities, hydropower companies and international organizations attended the seminar and discussed issues related to small hydropower and other renewable energy, green industrial growth and capacity building. A special session was held for facilitating the docking of related projects.
The seminar further deepened the pragmatic cooperation between China and Indonesia in the field of small hydropower and other renewable energy, and provided a favorable basis for companies to tap into the Indonesian market. The Chinese delegation also visited the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy and UNIDO Country Office in Indonesia.
