CICETE Deputy Director General Zhang Yi participated in 2019 UNIDO DAY event and visited project partners
On 19 April，co-hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization（UNIDO）and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the 2019 UNIDO day event was held in Shanghai with the theme of “Technology, Investment and Innovation: A Dialogue between UNIDO ITPO Network & Yangtze River Delta Region on High Quality Development”.
CICETE Deputy Director General Zhang Yi participated in the Main Forum，Public Product Launch, Signing Ceremony and the roundtable meeting respectively. In Public Product Launch and Signing Ceremony process, Mr. Zhang Yi attended the UNIDO public product launch for “Corporate Social Responsibility（CSR） Evaluation Criteria for the Construction Industry of China”, “Mobilizing Responsible Investment and Sustainable Technology Online Training Course” and the signing ceremony of “Letter of Intent on Annual Observation Report on Investment Competitiveness”.
In the afternoon，Mr. Zhang Yi led the CICETE team to visit local UNIDO project partners and met with project management staff at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences on the projects of “Strengthening the global innovation network on inclusive and sustainable industrial development” and “Intelligent manufacturing technology and its application in small and medium-sized enterprises”. Detailed discussions were held on the progress of the projects, achievements made, challenges encountered and future work plans. CICETE staff from Division II of UN Programmes attended the above activities.
