Director General Yao Attended the 8th Sharjah Chinese Commodities Fair
From year 2002 to 2008, the Sharjah Chinese Commodities Fair (hereinafter referred to as Sharjah Fair), sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, has been held in Sharjaj UAE in its seventh straight. Sharjah Fair has played an active role to promote and facilitate Chinese commodities exporting to Mid-East, Africa and East Europe. In order to realize the general objective, expand export and explore emerging market, MOFCOM held the 8th Sharjah Chinese Commodities Fair from 13th-16th December, 2009 in Sharjah, UAE. China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE) organized this fair.
On 13th December, 2009, CICETE Director General Yao Shenhong attended the opening and the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This fair was held in the International Trade Centre, the exhibition covers more than 16000 square meters. 852 people from 327 companies in three pillar industries namely, electronic appliances, hardware, auto parts and grain, oil and food products attended the fair. Meanwhile, nearly 95 thousand visitors from 66 countries visited the fair, during which 695 projects were discussed, with on-site turnover about 71 million dollars and intentional turnover about 359 million dollars.
