Mr. Michael Stewart, Knowledge and Programmes Analyst, United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), Dr. M Amanullah Khan and Mr. Zhou Taidong, Evaluation Experts for South-South Development Center(SSDC) Project paid a visit to CICETE on 16 July 2018. Mr. Zhang Yi, Deputy Director General of CICETE met with the delegation.

Mr. Zhang Yi extended warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the situation of South-South Cooperation at home and abroad and the domestic division of duties on international cooperation. He thought highly of the achievements of SSDC Project and expected professional suggestions from the evaluation experts for a comprehensive performance assessment and a better implementation of the second phase of SSDC Project. Where-after, detailed consultations were conducted with Division II of UN Programmes. During their stay in China, the evaluation experts will pay a visit to different partners under the framework of SSDC. After the mission, the evaluation experts will integrate all the information and compile an evaluation report to identify SSDC successes, challenges and lessons learned and provide strategic advice and recommendations to enable planning for the next phase of the SSDC Project.
